Our research goal is to accumulate, assess, and distribute high quality bird population and conservation information that will educate as well as provide a scientific basis for the protection of birds and their habitats. We work with local and national partners to sponsor a number of avian monitoring programs described on these linked pages.  Our focus is to partner our U.S. sites with sites in Latin America so that a Gulf-wide perspective can be gained especially with neotropical migrants.  Our latest project, the Avian International Monitoring Network, can be viewed by clicking the link to the left.
