It’s July 31st and you know what that means? The Smith Point Hawk Watch starts tomorrow! We brought the trailer over last Friday and got everything at the tower set up. Bob Baez has returned as counter for this 20th season. To celebrate our 20th season, we have some great t-shirts with artwork by Cin-Ty Lee featuring the three most common kites seen at Smith Point – White-tailed, Mississippi, and Swallow-tailed.

I just know you all want one! You can get yours at GCBO or at the hawk watch tower at Candy Cain Abshier WMA in Chambers County. $20 for 20 years! All proceeds go to support the hawk watch. Come on out and join us for some fun at the point!
