Bob reports 17 migrating raptors today. Swallow-tailed Kite 4 Mississippi Kite 7 Cooper’s Hawk 2 Swainson’s Hawk 1 Red-tailed Hawk 2 Identified raptor 1 107 Magnificent Frigatebirds! 3 Wood Storks, 7 Roseate Spoonbills, 2 Bank Swallows. A hazy day with poor visibility. Joe Kennedy and Marvin Masters helped out today.

Bob reports 4 migrating raptors today. Broad-winged Hawk 2 Swainson’s Hawk 1 White-tailed Hawk 1 Large swallow flights today! Lots of hummers, Blue-gray Gnatcatchers and Dickcissels.

No migrating raptors on 9/1/21. On 9/2/21: Bob reported 4 migrating raptors. Osprey 1 Swallow-tailed Kites 3 Mostly south wind with lots of storm cells. There was a Sora in the ponds and waterthrush species along with lots of Dickcissels. Hummingbirds are picking up and there was a Black-chinned and a Rufous/Allen’s.

Joe reports 6 migrating raptors today. Osprey 1 Swallow-tailed Kite 2 Cooper’s Hawk 2 Broad-winged Hawk 1 Local birds included both vultures, a caracara, and Cooper’s Hawk. Eastern Kingbirds were migrating in force and Joe counted 64. 26 Dickcissels, 9 White Ibis and amazingly no gnatcatchers! Thanks Joe!

Swallow-tailed Kite 15 Mississippi Kite 23 Northern Harrier 1 Red-shouldered Hawk 1 Broad-winged Hawk 19 Swainson’s Hawk 2 Red-tailed Hawk 2 Peregrine Falcon 1 Thunderstorms around all day, but there wasn’t much rain at the point. Other birds included an immature male Black-chinned Hummingbird and lots of swallows and dragonflies.
