Field Trips & Visits
Join us for a field trip at one of our sanctuaries or another nature-based location! Our education team loves to work with students, clubs, scouts, and other groups as we do activities, nature walks, and lessons. Our field trips generally focus on birds and ecosystems, as well as conservation.
Our team will tailor your field trip, but ideas include:
Nature walk with binoculars
Watching our researchers band birds
Migration games
Crafting a pollinator bath
Nature bingo
Bug-catching
Lesson plans and activities will vary depending on the age of the students, weather, and other factors, but we're quite flexible.
If your class, school group, troop, club, or any other group that is interested in coordinating a field trip or visit, please contact Education and Outreach Director Celeste Silling at csilling@gcbo.org for dates, pricing, and details.
